The hgtv blog : The Subtler Side of Morrocan Style
by admin in Design Trends & Styles
Design blogger and friend Holly Becker recently did a piece for us on Moroccan style (read it here). If you think the style belongs only in Morocco — and not your home — take a look at her Moroccan design round-up.
While Moroccan design can be loud with its bold color palette and ornate furniture, it definitely has a subtler side. As Holly suggests, all it takes is a few accessories to bring the style home. I love the idea of introducing a Moroccan-inspired side table or accessory into a room to achieve ethnic flavor without dooming the room to a theme.
Here are a few of my favorite picks with subtle Moroccan style:
houseEclectic, Moroccan Key Table ($338)
Urban Outfitters, Mini Punch Lantern ($12)
Mighty Leaf Tea, Moroccan Tea Glasses ($19.95/set of six)
